Hungary 2024 (Day 6)

Today was a little bit different of a day. The team was split between two different locations.

Team Ukraine left from the hostel at 5am! The team is comprised of Me (Vinny), Esperanza Cachie, Jeremiah Cachie, Andrew Panariello, Daniel Henry, Phoebe Orsag, and Amaya Zorrilla.

Meanwhile Team Hungary stayed behind in Budapest for a day of Evanglaism!

Ukraine: Mukachevo (Vincent Fernandez)

Today was a very full day! Pastor Joel Brown of Calvary Chapel Living Waters in Mukachevo picked us up from the hostel at 5am. We than began the 5 hour car ride to the city of Mukachevo. Crossing the boarder went smoothly and we made our way to the city.

As soon as we arrived, we hit the ground running! We helped serve at a vacation bible school for young Ukrainian children. Followed by visiting a youth center and playing with a children from the neighborhood. To end the day, we went to a nearby park and evangelized with Pastor Joel and the team. Jeremiah played guitar and sang with Amaya. As soon as the music started, a crowd began to form to hear the “American musicians”. This led to us being able to share the gospel with many young Ukrainians.

It was a great first day in Ukraine and we are looking forward to tomorrow!

Hungary: Budapest (Isabel Santos)

Today, the rest of our team (who stayed in Hungary) went evangelizing in Margaret Island!

First we started off with a devotion in 1 Corinthians 3, led by our beloved Bobby Larsen. Then, (one of our girl leaders) Anne Gonzales shared a little on what evangelism really is, as well as how to approach others while going out evangelizing.

Us leaders paired the kids up into four teams (three duos and one trio): Anna Blondo and Bobby Larsen, Sarah Blondo and Caleb Hartmann, Ruth Mathew and Joseph Henry, and Angelina Spinosi with Haley Wubnig and Immanuel Henry.

The kids did a wonderful job with spreading the good news and shortly after, we spent some time sharing stories about our encounters with those we evangelized to. As a group, we took time to worship before heading out for lunch, and around 5pm, we took some time to explore. Ended the night with Crispy Chicken Breast, Chicken Paprikash, and Goulash i for Dinner!
