July 23rd & 24th, 2023
We are so excited to give you all the updates on the team for this week!
July 23rd
We left JKF on Sunday, July 23rd at 5 pm and landed in Dublin at 7:30 am (Dublin time). This was followed by our flight to Budapest where we landed at 11:4 5 am. Overall a very smooth travel experience with no big hick-ups.
July 24th
After arriving at the airport we took a shuttle from the airport into the heart of Budapest. We went straight to the hostel to drop our things off and then headed out for dinner. Budapest is filled with amazing architecture everywhere you go. The kids were taken aback at how beautiful even the simplest of streets looked. We made our way to a large plaza filled with shops, restaurants, and historical monuments. After dinner the kids enjoyed some downtime exploring.
We rounded out the night by stopping by the local Lidl and buying dozens of water bottles, way too many snacks, and the needed ingredients for the French toast and eggs that we will be cooking tomorrow.
We are so excited to see what the Lord is going to do as we prepare to go to the missions center youth camp tomorrow morning!
